The LI-200 Pyranometer Sensor. The Pyranometer Sensor measures Global Solar Radiation using a Silicon Photodiode. Typical output is in W m-2. The LI-200 model's serial numbers begin with PY-XXXXX. LI-COR has been producing Pyranometer Sensors since 1972. Pyranometer Recalibration: We encourage customers to return their Pyranometer sensors for recalibration (suggested every 2 years) between the months of March and September. LI-COR recalibrates Pyranometer sensors outdoors under natural sunlight. During the fall and winter months we have low sun angles as well as frequent storms and cloudy days, which often result in lengthy turn-around times for Pyranometer recalibrations. By limiting Pyranometer recalibrations to the spring and summer, LI-COR can achieve high quality standards for recalibration with greater speed than can be accomplished during fall and winter. Pyranometers that require repairs also typically require factory recalibration.A note on Cable Terminations: LI-200 Sensors' cable terminations are designated by two letters. LI-200SA for BNC connectors, LI-200SZ for bare leads, or LI-200SL for standardized millivolt output. The 'SB' (Cal Connector) terminations are no longer offered. If the Sensor is known as an LI-200X, this is one of our Sensors and was probably obtained through Campbell Scientific. |
